Dr. Shaoxiong Ji is an independent research group leader at Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. He was a postdoctoral researcher at University of Helsinki, working on high-performance language technology with Prof. Jörg Tiedemann. He did his PhD at Aalto University, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Pekka Marttinen. During his doctoral candidature, he was a visiting researcher with Prof. Hinrich Schütze at the University of Munich (LMU Munich, Germany) and with Dr. Mikko Peltola at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL, Finland). Prior to his doctoral candidature, he did MPhil research with Prof. Xue Li and Prof. Helen Zi Huang at the University of Queensland (UQ Australia), visiting research with Assoc. Prof. Erik Cambria at Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore), and research assistant and visit research with Dr. Guodong Long and Dr. Shirui Pan at University of Technology Sydney (UTS Australia).
